Bayreuth Marthaler Production “Tristan Und Isolde” Released by Opus Arte on DVD and Blu-ray Disc

Another document of the current productions of Bayreuth Festival was released today, Monday, January 25, 2010: With the live recording of the opera “Tristan und Isolde”, staged by Christoph Marthaler and designed by Anna Viebrock, by the Berlin film production company United Motion in summer 2009, a production still in the programme of the festival is available for the first time not only on DVD but also on Blu-ray Disc worldwide in stores and online – including in the shop of Bayreuth Festival at www.bayreuther-festspiele.de.

For the first time ever in the history of Bayreuth Festival, the Blu-ray edition also features a conductor camera. It offers viewers an unprecedented view of the conductor in the orchestra pit during the performance. The retail price of the DVD is €39.90 [recommended retail price], and the Blu-ray Disc is €44.90 [recommended retail price]
