If you have not requested any tickets for the 2022 season, you can apply for a waiting year credit with your order documents. Any credit balance can remain with Bayreuther Festspiele GmbH until it is offset. If you would like a refund of the credit, please send an e-mail to ticket@bayreuther-festspiele.de, stating your customer and invoice number.

You can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets per work for the 2023 season, for a total of 18 tickets.

Tickets for visitors with reduced mobility

In each performance, up to 20 marginal seats (B2 and B3) are available for visitors with limited mobility or similar. Level access only in price category A1, B1, B2, B3. These seats are not available for immediate online purchase. There is partially limited legroom in the 30th floor row (A5 and B7). C7 and G3 seats with limited view (T). G4 seats with no view of the stage (H).

Your order

in your customer area and fill out the order form on the Internet. For a fee of €16, you can choose to have the invoice and tickets mailed to you.

Please note: The Bayreuth Festival sells tickets for its performances exclusively directly to visitors of the performances. Orders from tour operators or commercial resellers will not be considered. Any allocated tickets may be blocked.

Receipt of your tickets

All costumers with a verified e-mail address in the customer account will receive an information, even if your order unfortunately could not be considered.

Your invoice

Upon payment of the invoice, your order becomes legally binding. Invoices not paid in time will be cancelled without reminder. If your e-mail address is available, you will receive a confirmation of payment.

Instant online purchase on May 7, 2 p.m.

In principle, all registered interested parties are expected to be able to purchase tickets without consideration of waiting periods from May 2023.

Note: At the beginning of the online instant purchase, there may be longer waiting times, as experience shows that several thousand people want to purchase tickets at the same time, but for technical reasons the number of visitors to the web store is limited.

Payment in online instant purchase

The payment of the cards is only possible in Euro. To pay your cards you can use PayPal, Klarna and instant payment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express).

The handling fee for each charged place is 6 €.

A return of the cards is generally excluded.

Please note the restrictions on passing on or reselling tickets according to section 10 of the General Terms and Conditions of Bayreuther Festspiele GmbH for online orders and written orders or for online instant purchase tickets.

Personalization of your tickets

All tickets sold by the Bayreuther Festspiele GmbH are provided with the name of the purchaser and must be personalized by the purchaser with the name of the respective visitor. In addition, each visitor must provide a telephone number or e-mail address for contact tracking purposes in the event of an infection. This data is automatically deleted no later than four weeks after the start of the performance.

In the case of “print-at-home” tickets, personalization takes place before printing in the respective personal customer area “My Festival”. Users of hardcopy tickets will receive their tickets only after they have been personalized either in the respective personal customer area “My Festival” or, if the orderer does not have such an area, by means of an appropriate form. The form will be sent with the invoice and must be completed and returned by the deadline.

Printout of your personalized tickets

If you choose mailing (16 €), you will receive a personalization sheet with the invoice, with the request to return it in due time. Personalized cards will then be sent to you by registered mail.

Online customers can conveniently print out their personalized cards themselves.

If, for unforeseen reasons, the originally entered visitor name changes, please contact the Festspiele ticket office up to 24 hours before the start of the performance.

Your visit to the performance

In 2022, there was no verification of vaccine or convalescent status for entry, nor was proof of a negative antigen test required. The need for prior registration for the audience was eliminated. We recommended wearing a mask during performances; there was no longer an obligation to do so.

Please arrive at the Festspielhaus in good time and bring an identity document (e.g. ID card/passport) for control purposes.

Note: Members of the “Gesellschaft der Freunde von Bayreuth e. V.” order their tickets directly through their office.
