Introductory Talks

INTRODUCTORY TALKS ON PRODUCTIONS 2019

Entertaining, not academic. Under the surface, but with humour: as part of the 2019 festival season, Dr Sven Friedrich will be holding introductory lectures on productions. This will give you the opportunity to gain insights in the morning into the evening’s production.

Speaker Dr Sven Friedrich has since 1993 been Director of the Richard Wagner Museum, with the Richard Wagner Foundation national archive and research centre, based in Wagner’s Wohnhaus Wahnfried. He is regarded as a skilled speaker and author on all areas of research and journalism related to Richard Wagner.

The introductory lectures, which last approximately one hour, are organised for the Bayreuth Festival by BF Medien GmbH, and will take place at 10.30 am on all performance days in the auditorium of the Festival Hall. The entrance ticket for the evening performance entitles you to free admission. Unfortunately, reservations cannot be accepted in advance.

Entry to the introductory talks is through the west side (road side). The lectures will be held in german.

The introductory talks on the productions are made possible by the Gesellschaft der Freunde von Bayreuth (Society of Friends of Bayreuth) e.V.
