GUIDED TOURS THROUGH THE FESTSPIELHAUS
You stand in the legendary orchestra pit, look at the gigantic stage machinery, inspect the auditorium and the foyer – no problem during a guided tour. However, these glimpses behind the scenes cannot be granted during the actual Festival season: from the beginning of the rehearsals to the last performance, these guided tours cannot take place.
The public guided tours will start again on 31st of August 2019.
Public guided tours will take place
in September and October 2019 every day at 10 am, 11 am, 2 pm and 3 pm,
from November 2019 to March 2020 every day at 2 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 11 am and 2 pm.
There will be no public guided tours on 28 October 2019.
Guided tours for groups are also possible on additional dates by reservation, stating the date, time, number of persons and postal address at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The entrance for the guided tours is on the west side (street side) of the Festspielhaus. Admission for public tours is 10 minutes before the start of the tour. Tickets are available only at the pay desk with payment in cash (no card payment possible).
However, a planned tour can also be cancelled at short notice if, for example, the Festspielhaus is to be used for technical installations or some other modifications.
We would ask groups (from 12 persons up to a maximum of 50 persons) to register in principle, but we also strongly urge individuals to inquire as to whether a visit to the Festival Hall is possible on the desired date.
