For the performance of Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, Axel Kober will conduct instead of Daniele Gatti, Michael Volle will sing the role of Hans Sachs instead of Georg Zeppenfeld and Ya-Chung Huang will take over the role of David for Matthias Stier. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the artists for stepping in at short notice and look forward to Mr. Gatti’s imminent return to the conductor’s podium for the final performance of “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” and to the return of Georg Zeppenfeld as Hans Sachs and Gurnemanz.
