The Festival Programme 2018 is online  – the season starts on the 25th of July – with a new production of Lohengrin. The direction lies in the hands of Yval Sahron, the stage design comes from Neo Rauch and Rosa Loy. The performances will be conducted by Christian Thielemann. The musical director of the festival will than have directed each of the main works of Richard Wagner on the Green Hill. On the playbill you will find also The flying Dutchman, The Meistersingers of Nuremberg and Tristan and Isolde. To be able to show a big number of different productions in the first Ring-Cycle-free year, The Valkyrie (Director Frank-Castorf, Conductor Placido Domingo) is presented once again in three single performances.
