Due to sudden illness, Christa Mayer is unfortunately unable to perform as Mary in “Der fliegende Holländer” on July 30, 2016, and as Brangäne in “Tristan und Isolde” on August 1, 2016.
Nadine Weissmann will take over as Mary and Claudia Mahnke as Brangäne.
Stephen Milling, the singer and performer of Hagen in “Götterdämmerung”, has also fallen ill unexpectedly. Albert Pesendorfer will perform in his place on July 31, 2016.
The festival management wishes the ill performers a speedy recovery and extends its sincere thanks to the artists who, despite the extremely short notice, agreed to take on the roles both scenically and musically.
