After studying at the Free University of Berlin with Peter Wapnewski, Peter Szondi and Klaus Heinrich, curator for modern art at the Kestner-Gesellschaft in Hanover until 1985, then in artistic direction at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schiller Theater Berlin and at the Berlin Schaubühne until 2000. Collaboration with the directors Jürgen Gosch, Axel Manthey, Einar Schleef, Hans Jürgen Syberberg, Robert Wilson, Klaus Michael Grüber and Andrea Breth. Artistic advisor to the festivals "Kunstfest Weimar", "Stiftung Schloss Neuhardenberg" and "Movimentos" in Wolfsburg. Numerous publications on theater (Minetti in Grüber's FAUST, Jürgen Fehling, Axel Manthey, Robert Wilson, Heiner Müller, BK Tragelehn), translations of philosophical texts (Derrida, Foucault), radio broadcasts (features and radio plays), and publications on visual artists (Beuys, Meese, and Robert Wilson). Curator of the exhibitions: "Partisans of Utopia: Heiner Müller and Josef Beuys", "Einar Schleef" and "Grundling Meese Erzstaat" at Schloss Neuhardenberg. Most recently editor of the diaries "An old man grows older" by Günther Rühle.
