100. Bayreuth Festival Opens

Die sogenannten Pausenmusiker zum ersten Mal auf den Balkon des Festspielhauses

Festival directors Eva Wagner-Pasquier and Katharina Wagner today once again welcome numerous international guests to the 100th Bayreuth Festival at the Festspielhaus on the Green Hill in Bayreuth.

In the anniversary year, the Bayreuth Festival are presenting a new production of the opera “Tannhäuser and the Singers’ Contest at Wartburg”, directed by Sebastian Baumgarten and under the musical direction of Thomas Hengelbrock.

As a special guest of honor in the anniversary year, the two festival directors welcome Gunnar Maier, Sales Manager Germany of Emirates Airline. The festival management personally received Gunnar Maier on the red carpet and appeared together with him and his companion in front of the portal.

Katharina Wagner is wearing a dress by Berlin designer Paula Immich and jewelry by Thomas Sabo today.
