Star baritone Michael Volle will return to the Bayreuth Festival 2023 in the title role of “Der fliegende Holländer”. John Lundgren has canceled his participation for personal reasons. Professor Wagner extends her extraordinary thanks to Michael Volle, who was last seen in Bayreuth as the acclaimed Hans Sachs in “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg”.
