Nils Corte
Nils Corte is a German author, director, and creative technologist.Nils Corte is a German author, director, and creative technologist. From 2021 to 2022 he worked as Consultant for Digital Arts at Theater Dortmund; since the 2023/24 season he has been Artistic Director of the Extended Reality Theater (XRT) at Staatstheater Nürnberg, where he explores the potential of digital technologies in performative contexts.
He is an alumnus of the Akademie für Theater und Digitalität and a member of the Deutsche Akademie der Darstellenden Künste. In 2021, he was invited to the Showcase of the Berliner Theatertreffen with "Das House" (theater collective minus.eins); in 2022 he was nominated for the Faust Prize for "Pan's Lab." He has developed numerous apps in theatrical contexts and created the virtual meeting place "in Keplers Gardens" for the Ars Electronica Festival 2020. His most recent writings include Symmetrie (2023), Ich hasse Menschen and Smart aber herzlich (both 2025).
