Leonard Koch

Leonard Koch studied Media Art & Design at the Saar University of Fine Arts (HBKsaar). During his studies, he began creating video designs for theatre productions while also directing documentary and short films. His short film Nina Hagen and the Improbability of Dying premiered at the Max Ophüls Film Festival in 2018. His graduation project, Thorsten & Thorsten, documented the creation of a theatre production, following the entire artistic process from the initial concept to the opening night.

For several years, Koch has worked as a video designer, filmmaker, and motion designer. His work includes audiovisual concepts and projections for opera, theatre, and dance, as well as film and digital media productions. He also served as a lecturer in Fundamentals of Design at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Campus Zweibrücken, and contributed to the European Erasmus+ project Europe4All.

His work combines film, animation, and digital media with live performance on stage.
