To mark their 150th anniversary, the Bayreuth Festival will embark on an international tour in late summer 2026. The Bayreuth Festival Orchestra will perform in leading music venues across Spain, presenting the unmistakable sound of the Green Hill to an international audience.
Under the musical direction of Pablo Heras-Casado, the programme features selected orchestral and dramatic excerpts from Richard Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen. The tour celebrates both Richard Wagner’s artistic legacy and the extraordinary history of the Bayreuth Festival, which has represented a unique centre of music theatre worldwide since 1876.
