Outlook 2018

Die sogenannten Pausenmusiker zum ersten Mal auf den Balkon des Festspielhauses

The new schedule is online: the 107th Bayreuth Festival will begin on July 25, 2018, with a new production of Lohengrin. Yuval Sharon is directing, with Neo Rauch and Rosa Loy responsible for the set design. Christian Thielemann will conduct, and by then, the festival’s music director will have conducted each of Wagner’s main works on the Green Hill. In addition, Der fliegende Holländer, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Tristan und Isolde, and Parsifal are on the program. To present as many different productions as possible in the first ring-free year, Die Walküre from the completed Castorf Ring will also be presented again in three individual performances. All information about the schedule and ticket ordering options can now be found on this website, and the participants of the Bayreuth Festival are looking forward to seeing you again next summer.
