For the First Time at the Bayreuth Festival
In the 2009 festival season, Bayreuth Festival is offering, for the first time in its history, a special and contemporary additional program for its guests: In production-related introductory lectures, renowned dramaturges provide interesting insights into the interpretations presented.
The focus of these lectures is on the respective perspective of the director and its significance for the reception history of Richard Wagner’s works at the Bayreuth Festival. The approximately one-hour lectures in the choir hall of Bayreuth Festival are made possible by Hypovereinsbank and organized by BF Medien GmbH for Bayreuth Festival. Events begin daily at 1:00 PM [for private performances, already at 12:00 PM], and seating is limited to 240.
