The Bayreuth Festival

Once the rehearsal period begins, the door to the personnel office might as well be taken off its hinges – it’s always open anyway. 704 employees, plus 61 extras and 40 admission staff, arrive at the festival grounds at the beginning of June and depart again after the last performance at the end of August. Orchestra members, soloists, the choir, technical staff, workshops, and makeup artists – all employees essential for a seasonal theater operation – they forgo holidays and family time because it’s something special to be part of it here on the hill.

Image composition of several gold bars, some of which are partially semi-transparent and overlapping.
