150 Years of the Bayreuth Festival with Alle Farben

In the Bayreuth Festival’s anniversary year, a special event will take place on the historic date of the Festspielhaus’s topping-out ceremony: “FABRIK Presents – 150 Years of the Bayreuth Festival” featuring the internationally acclaimed artist Alle Farben.

150 years later, this historic site will become the setting for an extraordinary musical evening that bridges the gap between classical tradition and electronic music.

Selected motifs and elements from Richard Wagner’s works will be integrated into the musical concept, connecting the musical heritage of the Bayreuth Festival with contemporary electronic sounds.

For the event, the main stage of the Festspielhaus will be opened toward the rear. The DJ will perform from inside the Festspielhaus toward the covered forecourt, while the historic rows of seats in the Festspielhaus provide a unique backdrop.

“FABRIK Presents – 150 Years of the Bayreuth Festival” is a one-of-a-kind event in this anniversary year and embodies the dialogue between musical tradition and contemporary electronic music at one of Germany’s most significant cultural venues.
