The charismatic character tenor sang more than 100 performances at the Bayreuth Festival between 1981 and 2004. His roles in Bayreuth included David in “Meistersinger”, Steersman in “Fliegenden Holländer”, Melot and Young Sailor in “Tristan”, Loge and Mime in Ring des Nibelungen. He performed worldwide, including at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the English National Opera, the Glyndebourne Festival, the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Opéra Bastille Paris, the Salzburg Festival, and the Staatsoper Berlin. The opera world loses an outstanding singer-actor in Graham Clark, whose work is preserved for posterity on numerous recordings. Thank you for everything, dear Graham Clark!
