All about ordering and buying tickets

You can find the seating plan with price categories and a season overview for 2025 here. If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot password?”. Please do not register again! A maximum of six tickets per performance can be ordered, with a maximum of 18 tickets per orderer. For the price categories G1 – G4, E3 – E6 and C6 as well as C7 a maximum of two tickets, as there are only a few seats. C7 and G3 seats with restricted view (T). G4 hearing seats without a view of the stage (H). There is partially limited legroom in the 30th row of the stalls (A5 and B7).

The RING DES NIBELUNGEN can only be ordered as a cycle with the four works until December 1, 2024 and is considered as one ticket with regard to the ticket limitation of the overall order. You will receive a personalizable ticket for each individual work.
A fee of €6 applies for each ticket.

Postage of tickets: 16 euros

If you did not have any ticket requests for the 2024 season, you can apply for a waiting year to be credited with the order documents. Any credit balance can remain with Bayreuth Festival GmbH until it is offset. If you would like a refund of the credit balance, please send an email to ticket@bayreuther-festspiele.de stating your customer and invoice number.

Wheelchair Spaces / Accompanying Person

There are 6 spaces for wheelchair users (price category B 3) available for each performance in the stalls. If an accompanying person is required (proof of severely disabled ID), this space is free of charge.

These wheelchair spaces are not offered in the online instant purchase.

Tickets for Visitors with Limited Mobility

Up to 20 edge seats (B2 and B3) are available in each performance for visitors with limited mobility. For guests with hearing aids, we offer seats with an induction loop for improved sound in rows 9 to 13. Ground-level access only in price categories: A1, B1, B2, B3.

Elevator

An elevator is now available in the east staircase on the right-hand side for the audience with limited mobility in the Loge Rechts, the Balkon Rechts and the Galerie Rechts. If required, the elevator will be operated with the assistance of our security staff.

Processing of your Orders

Ticket orders will be processed from September 2024, taking into account waiting years and credit balances.

Your Ticket Invoice

If we can fulfill your requests in full or in part, you will receive an invoice as an offer to purchase the tickets by mid-November 2024 at the latest. You have two weeks to pay your invoice; the claim to the ordered tickets only exists after receipt of payment. If payment is not received on time, your invoice will be automatically canceled and you will no longer be entitled to the ordered tickets.
Payment is only possible in euros, by bank transfer, PayPal or credit card. Please be sure to include your invoice and customer number. After receipt of payment, customers with a verified email address will receive a confirmation of payment by email.

If you pay your invoice within the payment period, the event attendance contract is concluded. If you have not received an allocation, it is possible to purchase tickets in the online instant purchase from December 1, 2024.

Personalization of your Tickets

All tickets sold by Bayreuth Festival GmbH are personalized with the full name of the visitor. We ask postal customers to return the personalization form enclosed with the invoice legibly
completed to us or to send us an email with the corresponding names of the ticket users for the respective performance. Online customers personalize their tickets in the personal customer area “My Festival”.
A printout of the tickets is not absolutely necessary, you can also show it to our admission staff on your mobile phone. If the originally registered visitor name changes for unforeseen reasons, please contact the festival’s ticket office up to 24 hours before the start of the performance.

Online Instant Purchase since December 1, 2024, 2 P.M.

The online instant purchase takes place since December 1, 2024, 2 p.m. Here tickets can also be purchased for the individual works of the RING DES NIBELUNGEN.
All persons who have a customer account with the Bayreuth Festival and whose email address has already been verified can participate in the online instant purchase.

To register, you need your customer number or verified email address and your personal password.
After entering the ticket shop, you have 30 minutes to select tickets and complete the order process.
A maximum of 8 tickets can be purchased per work, a total of 32 tickets. In the price categories G1-G4, E3-E6 and C6 as well as C7 a maximum of two tickets, as there are only a few seats.
The tickets in your shopping cart must be paid for immediately.

Payment in the Online Instant Purchase

Payment for the tickets is only possible in euros. The following payment options are available for paying for the tickets: Instant payment by credit card: VISA, MasterCard and American Express, instant payment by PayPal, offsetting with existing credit from canceled invoices for tickets for the 2020 festival season.

The processing fee for each seat invoiced is €6.

A return of the tickets is generally excluded.

Please note that the purchase of tickets for the purpose of commercial or commercial resale is prohibited and, regardless of such activity, transfer bans apply to the transfer or resale of tickets. Accordingly, it is particularly not permitted to resell tickets at a price higher than the original ticket price or to offer tickets as part of Internet auctions.
Bayreuth Festival reserve the right to refuse to issue tickets to those persons who violate these prohibitions. This applies both to tickets already purchased by blocking them without replacement and to future purchases in the following festival seasons. In this respect, the General Terms and Conditions apply (see section 10 of the GTC ordering procedure or section 9 of the GTC online instant purchase). Reference is made to the details there.

Your Visit to the Performance

In 2024, there was no longer a check of the vaccination or recovery status for admission and proof of a negative antigen test was also not required. The need for prior registration for the audience was eliminated. We recommended wearing a mask during the performances, but there was no longer an obligation to do so.

Please arrive at the Festspielhaus in good time (approx. 60 minutes before the start) and bring an identity document (passport, ID card) with you.

Note: Members of the “Society of Friends of Bayreuth e. V.” order their tickets directly through their office.
