Johannes Martin Kränzle is unfortunately unable to sing the part of Sixtus Beckmesser in the performance of „Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“ on Thursday, 12th of August 2021 due to illness. Martin Gantner will perform the part scenically and musically. The Bayreuth Festival would like to thank Martin Gantner for his willingness to step into Barrie Kosky’s production and sincerely wishes Johannes Martin Kränzle a speedy recovery.
