Wagner once hoped that a prince would support his great work. ‘Will this prince be found?’ he asked. With our GOLD CIRCLE we should like to offer you an opportunity to answer this question in the affirmative by dint of your exceptional commitment to the Bayreuth Festival.

Through their outstanding support, members of the GOLD CIRCLE, working in partnership with the Gesellschaft der Freunde von Bayreuth, make a vital contribution to the running of the Bayreuth Festival.

Thanks to various additional inducements, we hope to make a visit to the Bayreuth Festival an unforgettable experience for members of the GOLD CIRCLE. You will be able to visit the Gold Lounge, for example, and will be invited not only to the state reception that follows the opening night of the Festival but also to other exclusive events, providing ample opportunity for members to forge important social contacts.

Among other privileges available to members of the GOLD CIRCLE are a chance to attend rehearsals and in that way to follow the process by which a production takes shape. You will also be able to look behind the scenes and benefit from introductions to the works in the repertory. Situated in the royal annexe, the Gold Lounge additionally offers a suitable opportunity to retire during the intervals in the performances.
