Mirella Hagen

Mirella Hagen is a member of the ensemble of the Theatre Regensburg for the 2011/12 season. There, she performs roles such as Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe, Gretel, the Sandmann and Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel, and the 5. Magd in Elektra.
In 2010/11, Mirella Hagen was a member of the Opera Studio at the Staatsoper Stuttgart where she performed, among other roles,  Ida in Die Fledermaus, Anna Kennedy in Maria Stuarda, Ännchen in Freischütz, Blumenmädchen 2/2 in Parsifal, and Fekluscha in Katja Kabanova.
The soprano was born in 1984 in Würzburg and sang in various choirs and ensembles during her school years, including the Young Opera of the Staatsoper Stuttgart. In 2003, she began her vocal studies at the State Academy of Music in Karlsruhe and continued her studies in 2005 at the State Academy of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with Prof. Ulrike Sonntag. She graduated with honors.
During her studies, she took part in numerous master classes with Prof. KS Edith Mathis and Helen Donath and participated in the Liedforum der UdK Berlin in October 2008.  In 2007, she was the winner of the Paula Salomon-Lindberg Competition of Berlin University, UdK Berlin; in August 2009, she was awarded the Thomas Wiese Award for Liedgestaltung.
In 2009, she performed with the vocal arts ensemble at the Church Music Congress in Stuttgart and at the Salzburg Biennale. Additionally, she worked with the New Vocal Soloists and the Ensemble Modern Academy.
